Anyone who has dreamt of running off to join a circus will love this chance to be a "showman or woman", with your own field and uninterrupted views of North Cornish countryside to practice your juggling in. You even have your own log cabin eco-loo smelling fragrantly of sawdust and shavings to make you feel you`re in the ring. The loo has the same fabulous views through the stable door - not a mobile home, a beach bum or hunky lifeguard in sight, yet sea and surf are less than four miles away at Widmouth Bay. To complete the escapist dream, your home is a handsome dark blue showman's living van complete with it`s glossy mahogany interior, wood burning stove, original gas lamps and petite bedroom. There is a bijou shower and a compact kitchen - you won`t have to be contortionist but it might help!

The wagon was built for a family of travelling showmen in Scotland in the 1930's at a time when great changes were happening in the transport world of the circus/fairground fraternity. As horsepower disappeared after the 1st World War, it was replaced by steam lorries and traction engines followed soon by diesel power. Heavier loads could now be pulled, so living accommodation could expand, but the attention to detail remained.

Electricity and hot water are provided by a small wind turbine, whilst fresh vegetables, eggs and firewood are available from the farm as is a modern flush loo if "spit and sawdust" is not your style.

This is "wreckers coast" country, with dramatic coastal cliffs interspersed with sunny surfing beaches! North Cornwall is not as glitzy as further south where PADSTOW, ROCK and NEWQUAY grab the limelight, but it does mean you can show off your surfers muscles with less chance of being upstaged.
