As well as sleeping in unusual buildings you can also find some very eccentric places to eat - how about splashing out in a "gents loo", or taking that special date to somewhere really memorable, like a "knicker factory". Yes it's certainly possible, though possibly not very desirable! These you will have to find for yourselves.

But here are a few other ideas which may be a little more tempting to your taste buds, than the above.

If you prefer to be tied up, rather than being tossed in the North Sea, we have a couple of harbour bound boats to feast on - a Customs Boat in Ipswich or a Humber Ferry in LONDON.

In the west, we have a Custom House and a school in Cornwall, and a granary in Dorset.

The East has an electricity sub-station, a windmill, a watermill and a cricket pavilion

If you are venturing North, we have a warehouse in Yorkshire.

We haven't visited any of these restaurants so can't comment on the food quality, or indeed be sure how much of the original character of the buildings has been retained, but we can guarantee that all these buildings have had exciting former lives.
