A castle with a difference, built at a time of relative security to reflect peace not war - this is still the atmoshere that Neville and Marita have worked hard to retain. Tranquility and seclusion is your first impression on passing through the high wall which surrounds the castle grounds - inside the Grade 2* listed Castle dominates the scene.

Built in the 1830s, on older foundations, the design is neo-Romanesque, with strong echoes of Penrhyn Castle which shared the same architect - Thomas Hopper. His architectural style has a regency flamboyance with battlements, turrets and towers galore. The best example of his interior treatment is seen in the twenty three foot diameter circular flag tower.

To ensure your stay will be peaceful, Bryn Bras is designed around couples and foursomes - warring couples and larger groups should try elsewhere for their war games.
